Starship Crash Site Discovered on Alcazzar by Phalanx

Alcazzar Planet, Rhianna System - A Cassidine Development Corp survey team has discovered the crash site of a very large starship on Alcazzar. The
wreck was found in a remote region that has only recently been surveyed. Lying in 20 meters of water, it was clear that most
portions of the starship had been submerged at one time or another. What little is left of the superstructure has been battered by
the weather. It has clearly been there for some time, but it will take the CDC Salvage Team to find a more percise timeframe.

A CDC spokesbeing has stated that there will be an investigation into the identity of the starship. Although a large number of
starships have disappeared over the last 50 years, the general shape and size of the remaining superstructure seems to indicate that
it may have been one of the Star Blazer class freighters. The Star Blazers are one of the more common CDC freighters with a long and
reliable service record with the company.
Introduced in 41fy, the CDC has lost three of large frieghters near the Rhianna System. Two were known to be in the Rhianna system when they enountered
problems, the Alicia May and Lucky Card. The Alicia May did manage to get off an emergency signal, stating her engines had been
hit by an asteroid. However, the co-ordinates were garbled and after a lenghty search, she was never found. The Lucky Card passed
a Streel cutter on patrol, but was reported overdue two days later. A third starship, the Big Dean, left Groth in the Fromeltar
System for Alcazzar and was never heard from again.

Since no remains were found at the site, it is only speculation as to the fate of any crew that survived. According to the survey
team, the overall condition of what is left of the starship does suggest that it was a controlled or at least partially
controlled landing.
