Sathar Shock Trooper Factory Discovered by Brad
Sanctuary Moon, Unity, Victory System - Elite Special Forces units of Landfleet's 9th Division
destroyed a Sathar Shock Trooper Factory. The factory was discovered by a routine recon patrol
that had been dispatched to an area after a series of groundquakes.
The factory had been hidden since the end of the war. It did not seem to be in use, but there
was little or no damage to the factory from the groundquakes. This was the third such factory
that has been found since the end of the war with growing concerns that there might additional
factories on Sanctuary. None of the factories were found in production, but all seemed to be
in working order.

The Sathar Shock Troops are an android creation of the Sathar.
After the failed Sathar assault on Volturnus (where hundreds of Sathar were
killed), Sathar officials starting toying with the idea of a
organic/robotic assault force that would eliminate the need for unnecessary
Sathar fatalities. As a result, the Sathar Shock Troops (SST) were
designed.

The SST are equipped with a gridsuit-like black body armor that protects
the wearer from 40 points of energy weapon fire (same weapon types as
protected by a gridsuit) and also 10 points of projectile weapon fire.
Damage beyond these limits is absorbed by the user. This armor is rendered
useless after taking 150 points of total damage. For weaponry, the SST are
armed with a combination laser rifle/electric sword. Pointed in one
direction, the weapon acts like a standard KE-2000 laser rifle. Pointed in
the other direction, it functions in melee exactly like an electric sword.
All SST are equipped with 50-SEU beltpacks and usually carry additional
20-SEU clips. The SST also occasionally have other equipment as the
mission dictates (such as explosives, heavier ordnance weaponry, etc.).
SST helmets are capable of seeing into the IR spectrum.
When killed, SST emit a high-pitched shriek (which makes a silent kill of
these creations impossible) and their organic parts shrivel.
