Alien Craft Enters Gran Quivera Space by Kveldulf
"The alleged alien craft is not, repeat *not*, of Sathar origin and does not appear hostile at this time. It is apparently of an unusual organic design and employs technology that seems far in advanced of present Frontier science. The craft first appeared - apparently out of Void-space - at approximately 50 million km to starward of Gran Quivera on an intercept trajectory with that planet. Deep Space Array personnel picked up the energy burst associated with Void exit and tracked the small craft (from past reports estimated to be less than 30 meters in overall length) as it approached the planet. The craft moved at tremendous speeds in excess of 17 million km per minute, entering Gran Quivera's upper atmosphere before interceptor fighters could be launched.
The craft disappeared on atmospheric entry, and unconfirmed sightings have placed it at numerous points across the globe. The craft does not appear to have burned up in the atmosphere despite a lack of any apparent thermal shields. Fleet astronomers, xenobiologists and naval engineers are examining new sensor readings of the vessel's transit and have come to varied conclusions. At this time Spacefleet has no further comment or information on these events, and would ask all Frontier citizens to go about their business normally. Although reports have surfaced indicating the alien pilot may be engaged in long-term monitoring of the Frontier, none have these reports have been verified. Reports of similar sightings on all Frontier planets may indicate a fleet of these beings, or (as one theory has it) that manipulation of reality on the quantum level enables the alien to appear in multiple locations at once by as-yet unknown means. Spacefleet asks all citizens to be aware of the fact that no harm has yet come of these visitations. That's all - no further questions! Thanks!" |
