Gran Quivera, Prenglar System - Hundreds of Thousands turned out to celebrate McCameron Day, named after the late scientist and
philosopher, James McCameron [Hm]. He was in his prime when the Federation was founded and many believe that it was his stiring
political debates that helped to create the Federation. At the heart of his philosophy was the simple slogan "Why can't we all
just get along?" It was as much question as it was answer and it showed his true nature and love for all beings. Many credit him as
one of the founding fathers of the Federation, although there has been many others who deserve credit as well. The holiday is
celebrated on the first day of the new year. The Federation was always first in his heart, so it only seemed appropriate to
celebrate the love of the Federation on the first day of the new year as well.

So popular has his political views become, that an activist group named the Society of the Warm Hearted has sprouted up over the
last few decades to try and promote peace and tolerance throughout the citizens of the Frontier. It is currently headed by a
Dralasite, Albini [Dm] who has spread the teaching of James far and wide. Most every major starport has a chapter devoted to
spreading his teachings. In fact, it is nearly impossible to exit a shuttle at many of the starports without seeing a Society member
preaching peace and tolerance.
It is rumored that any new learning that occurs on this day will actual grant additional experience to the person learning.
Although never confirmed, it is widely believed to be true by many of the admirers of the late founding father.
Any exp earned on this day will grant and exp bonus of 2-6 points (AD/Zeb) or 10-15% (SFd20) based on the GM's discretion.
